Amid an atmosphere of creativity and ambition, the first stop of the Innovation Festival was launched as part of the Changemakers Challenge at Maria Al Qibtiyyah Secondary School – Dubai. The event brought together students and youth under the banner of innovation and teamwork, reflecting the Emirates Scouts Association’s vision to foster creativity and empower young minds to develop impactful solutions.
The festival featured 81 participants from 5 schools and scout groups, presenting 16 innovative projects aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These projects demonstrated the youth’s awareness of community needs and their potential to create meaningful, positive impact through innovation and collaboration.
Highlights of the event included the selection of the top 6 projects for further support and scaling, leadership training opportunities offered by Accenture to young members of the Emirates Scouts, and technical support through the donation of laptops to eligible teams. The festival marked a practical step toward regional and global expansion of outstanding projects — a promising beginning from Dubai and a bold stride toward the future.
