On Sunday, February 23, 2025, the “Warm Winter” initiative was carried out by the Hamdan Giving Volunteer Team in cooperation with the Dubai Scout Commission. The initiative aimed to provide humanitarian support to 700 municipal workers by distributing meals, beverages, winter clothing, and gifts, reinforcing values of compassion and community service.
The event featured the participation of several officials and scout leaders, beginning with a welcoming reception, the UAE national anthem, and a recitation from the Holy Quran. The speeches included remarks by the Secretary-General of the UAE Scout Association, the Executive Director of the Dubai Scout Commission, and the Acting Executive Director of the Environment, Health, and Safety Foundation, who is also the Director of Health Department in Dubai.
The program included a traditional “Yola” performance that reflected Emirati heritage and fostered a spirit of unity and joy among attendees. The event concluded with an appreciation ceremony for participants and volunteers, followed by a group photo capturing the collective spirit of giving and gratitude.
Organizers emphasized that this initiative embodies the UAE’s commitment to humanitarian solidarity and community responsibility. It also aligns with the Dubai Scout Commission’s mission to encourage volunteerism and strengthen social engagement through charitable and educational activities that nurture the culture of giving across the nation.
