The Sharjah Church Scout Group, in collaboration with the Dubai Scout Commission, organized a Weekend Scout Camp from Friday, February 21 to Sunday, February 23, 2025, bringing together 138 scouts, guides, and leaders from various age groups. The camp aimed to develop participants’ skills and strengthen their scouting knowledge through a dynamic outdoor training program.
The camp began on Friday evening at 5:00 p.m. and concluded on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. The program included tent setup and welcoming activities, a flag ceremony, training on scouting traditions, and hands-on workshops in outdoor cooking, compass navigation, ropework, and code decoding. These activities blended learning with fun and teamwork, encouraging active participation from all attendees.
Evening campfires and cultural gatherings provided an atmosphere of unity and enthusiasm, reinforcing the values of friendship, cooperation, and community spirit among participants. The event concluded with a closing ceremony that included flag-raising and recognition for the participating teams.
Organizers noted that the camp successfully met its objectives of fostering self-reliance, discipline, and responsibility while promoting teamwork and cultural exchange among diverse scouting communities, embodying the global spirit and educational purpose of the scouting movement.
