At the 26th World Scout Conference held in Montreal, Canada, from July 14 to 26, 1977, the Emirates Scout Association was officially recognized as one of the global scouting bodies. The association became an active member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement within the Arab region, operating under the rules and constitution of the world scouting movement. This approval marked a historic milestone that enabled the association to actively participate in shaping the future of scouting regionally and globally, enhancing the status of Emirates Scouts on the international stage.
