On the morning of Saturday, 24 January, participants at Al Murabba’aniyah Camp set off on a sunrise desert hike, where the beauty of nature met the spirit of adventure in a distinctive field experience that reflected the essence of scouting and its educational goals. The activity formed part of the camp’s programs aimed at strengthening teamwork, fostering a sense of belonging, and providing youth with opportunities to discover their skills in an open natural setting.

The hike helped deepen participants’ connection with the desert environment and its rich heritage by introducing them to the features of the local landscape and its cultural and historical significance, thereby nurturing their pride in national identity and attachment to their land. It also offered a meaningful space for reflection and positive interaction among participants in an atmosphere of camaraderie and cooperation.
Organizers of Al Murabba’aniyah Camp emphasized that such field activities are fundamental to shaping the character of scouts, developing their sense of responsibility and self-reliance, and reinforcing the values of discipline, collaboration, and community service. They further highlighted that connecting younger generations with the desert environment contributes to preserving natural and cultural heritage and raises youth awareness of the importance of protecting the environment for future generations.
