The Fujairah Scout Commission organized the “Year of Community” initiative on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, conducting a specialized training workshop for teachers at Fujairah School H1. The initiative aimed to develop the skills of school-based scout leaders, strengthen scouting values, and enhance the role of the scouting movement within the local community.

The training, held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, focused on supporting schools interested in establishing scout units, expanding scout membership across the emirate, and instilling a sense of national identity and community service among participants.

The workshop included an introductory gathering, a briefing on the history and origins of scouting, small scouting games, and a closing session featuring participant recognition and appreciation.

The event achieved positive engagement and fostered stronger ties between the Fujairah Scout Commission and educational institutions. Organizers highlighted challenges such as limited training time, the difficulty of transporting needed equipment, and restrictions on in-school training sessions. They recommended repeating the initiative in other schools and at the Commission’s headquarters, in coordination with partner organizations, to expand its positive community impact.
