31st Arab Scout Conference in Abu Dhabi discusses new three-year plan and youth initiatives

The 31st Arab Scout Conference, hosted in Abu Dhabi from 15 to 21 November, is discussing a new three-year Scouting plan, key youth initiatives and a set of joint projects between Arab Scout associations, along with proposed amendments to the constitutions of the Arab Scout Organization and the Arab Scout Region and the election of a new Arab Scout Committee, reaffirming the conference’s role as the general assembly that regulates Arab Scouting and reviews regional policies and plans every three years.

His Excellency Dr. Salem Abdulrahman Al Darmaki, Chairman of the Emirates Scout Association and Vice-Chairman of the Arab Scout Committee, stressed that hosting the event translates the UAE leadership’s vision of placing youth at the heart of national priorities and reflects a long-standing commitment that began with Abu Dhabi hosting the 18th Arab Scout Conference in 1988, while Dr. Abdullah Al Turaiji, Chairman of the Arab Scout Committee, described the 31st edition in Abu Dhabi as a milestone opportunity to review policies, update regulations and reshape working structures in line with the new challenges facing Arab youth.

Global and regional Scouting leaders, including Daniel Korson, David Berg, Dr. Hani Abdulmonem and Dr. Khalil Rahma, praised the UAE’s continued support for the Scout movement and its inspiring model in empowering young people and building partnerships, affirming that the conference is a dialogue platform to launch a new phase of Arab Scouting based on effective governance, youth leadership and stronger joint initiatives in innovation and sustainable development, with Abu Dhabi ready to welcome more than 500 participants from 19 Arab countries under a comprehensive agenda that includes adopting the 2026–2028 plan, launching Arab Scouting excellence awards and holding a High-Level Scout Leaders Forum.
