The 31st Arab Scout Conference is continuing its sessions in Abu Dhabi with delegations from 17 Arab Scout associations discussing the future of Arab Scouting over the coming years and ways to strengthen its educational and leadership role in building new generations through updated programmes and initiatives that respond to global changes and the growing role of young people in serving their communities.
The conference, which runs until 21 November, is set to approve the general policies of the Scout movement, adopt the upcoming Arab strategy, elect the Arab Scout Committee and review financial and administrative reports, in addition to endorsing joint programmes and initiatives that will develop the Arab Scouting system and enhance its contribution to youth and community development, while speakers including Dr. Salem Abdulrahman Al Darmaki and Dr. Abdullah Al Turaiji stressed that holding the event in Abu Dhabi extends a proud legacy that began with hosting the 18th Arab Scout Conference in 1988.
Representatives of the Arab Scout Organization and the World Organization of the Scout Movement affirmed that the conference is a strategic milestone within the global Scouting framework, praising the UAE’s exceptional hosting and provision of an ideal environment for dialogue and for designing new development visions based on effective governance, youth leadership and stronger international partnerships, and highlighting that the participation of 17 Arab Scout associations reflects the unity of the movement and its belief in preparing aware and responsible generations capable of facing challenges and building a better future for their countries.
